This center handles one side of Kokugakuin Museum’s museum activities. In addition to carrying out the four main functions of a museum (being resource gathering, the organization and storage of resources, studies and research, and the dissemination of educational materials), this center undertakes studies and research projects that are thought to be especially necessary in the course of carrying out those functions. These projects are executed as “special projects” within the Organization for the Advancement of Research and Development.
You can view select results of the projects carried out by this Center on the Digital Museum and Archeology at Kokugakuin University web pages.
Study reports have been created on each of the academic excavation studies and resource studies that this Center has undertaken over the course of the studies and research projects carried out to date. These study reports are published in the Archeology Museum of Kokugakuin University Bulletin. Previously published reports are available as PDFs.
This Center publishes Archeology Museum of Kokugakuin University Bulletin every year, and periodically publishes works such as the Outline of the Archeology Museum of Kokugakuin University, and illustrated books on the Museum’s collection.
