Center for Promotion of Excellence in Research and Education

 The Center for Promotion of Excellence in Research and Education is headed directly by the Director of the Organization for the Advancement of Research and Development, and aims to promote independent research projects on Shinto and Japanese culture, which comprise the founding spirit of Kokugakuin University, as well as research education projects established by the University’s 21st Century Research and Education Planning Committee. It also aims to contribute to society through the achievements produced by those projects.To that end, the Center undertakes activities such as the planning, proposing, and executing of research projects using external investments derived from the acquisition of governmental competitive grants as well as people active in the field of Shinto. The Center also plans and proposes projects related to the management of the Organization for the Advancement of Research and Development, and promotes collaboration with research institutions inside and outside of Japan.
