To foster a global mindset for both Japanese and international students on our campuses, we hold a wide range of original events. One must understand others while also being aware of one’s own individual characteristics to be capable of performing on the global stage. 

We provide our full support for intra-campus communication along with student plans for studying abroad, both inbound and outbound. Our goal is to create as many opportunities as possible for students to grow their interest in the world outside of their cultural comfort zone, as there is much for us to learn through each other. Know that with us, you’re in good hands.

There are plenty of events we plan with the objective of facilitating cultural exchange between our Japanese and international students, including field trips in and around the Tokyo area as well as weekly exchange events, like our popular International Coffee Hour. All Kokugakuin University students and academic staff are welcome to join – as a matter of fact, we encourage everyone to join! 

We offer a volunteer program to matriculated Kokugakuin University students in which they can help international students integrate into Japanese society and culture. Life in Japan can be overwhelming at first, but it’s a K-STEP Assistant’s prerogative to guide those in need. Besides, being a K-STEP Assistant gives you exclusive access to the aforementioned field trips and some special events!
